My stay at Tamanu Lodge was quite enjoyable. I loved the beautifully designed garden. it created such a relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated the spacious kitchen area that was well-equipped for making breakfast or snacks. The large, comfortable double room with a garden view had a lovely sofa, perfect for lounging. Vanina’s hospitality was exceptional. She greeted me with fresh fruit and went the extra mile to provide local recommendations. Breakfast was delicious, featuring eggs, croissants, and tropical fruit. On the downside, the location right next to a busy highway made it hard to enjoy quiet moments, especially at night. Also, the hot tub lacked hot water, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a good value for the price considering the comforts offered.

Beautifully designed garden with relaxing atmosphere.
I was horrified to find ants crawling on my bed and in the bathroom during my stay. The owner's efforts to keep the rooms clean were clearly not enough, and I felt unsettled the entire night. Additionally, the noisy location adjacent to a busy highway ruined any chance of a peaceful rest.

The garden view room was lovely, but the hot tub had no hot water.

missingWrote a review on Oct 23lacking privacy
The room faced directly onto a shared lounge/courtyard, lacking privacy unless the curtains were drawn. The hot tub was disappointing, as it only had freezing cold water, making it unusable for a relaxing soak. Additionally, we encountered some ants in the room, which, while not excessive, still detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Super friendly host!
We had a nice stay! The owner was super nice and made us feel really welcome. The outdoor dining area was a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast. The room was cozy, though it could’ve used a bit more space. It's also a lil' far from the beach, but the nearby restaurants are cool for quick bites.

The owner’s passion is evident throughout. Fresh pineapple juice greeted us upon arrival, and the modern, clean facilities made a great first impression. A short walk leads to local amenities, and the spacious kitchen was well-equipped, perfect for making our own breakfast or a late-night snack. Exploring nearby restaurants was easy, though the noise from the busy roadway did disrupt the tranquil feel of the garden area. A good spot to feel at home while discovering the local culture.
